RAW

RAW file is a new image format in which many DSLR cameras can capture photos. RAW file remains uncompressed and contains undeveloped data that is stored from the Image Sensor. It can be the Image sensor of a Digital Camera or Digital Scanner. When you are choosing a digital Camera for capturing photo in a RAW format. The details of camera sensor will remain in that sensor. Many of the settings of the camera is also not associated with this format and photo with RAW format is stored with minimum loss for later use.

JPEG

Most of the images are captured in JPEG format as it is the most commonly used image format. JPEG format will be compressed and processed by the camera device according to the settings of the camera you are using. JPEG is very popular image format and it can easily opened by using any computer. User can also set the compression level of the camera for JPEG format to preserve the quality. And JPEG is easy to use and is convenient.
