SCSI Port

A special high-speed parallel port, called a SCSI port, allows you to attach SCSI (pronounced skuzzy) peripherals such as disk drives and printers. SAS (serial-attached SCSI) is a newer type of SCSI that transmits at much faster speeds than parallel SCSI. Some computers include a SCSI port. Others have a slot that supports a SCSI card.

Parallel Port

Parallel port is the common interface mostly found on desktop computers to connect two different peripherals. In computer science,  parallel communication physical interface is also referred to as parallel port. Parallel port is also known as Printer Port/Centronics Port. Parallel Port was late developed by Epson. Parallel Port is 25-pin (type DB-25) interface commonly used to connect printers to the computers. Today, the uses of Parallel Technology is much less and becoming more less day by day. Because of the Universal Serial Bus (USB), now people are using USB’s to transfer information from one system to another.
